This is my collection is freely-downloadable images that can be used for desktop wallpapers. Two sizes are provided - SVGA (800 x 600) and VGA (1024 x 768). They are freely-copyable but I retain the original copyright.

Instructions
Simply click on the appropriate link according to the size of image you would like and the image will load in your browser window. When it has finished downloading, right-click on the image and highlight 'Set As Background'. Left-click on this option and the image will become your desktop wallpaper!
